My truck feels like the brakes are holding the truck back at low speeds and when slowing down from driving speed ~40mph or so to ~15mph or so and pressing the accelerator will cause a jarring buck that has to be placing... The yoke conversion is about $160.00 and takes into account for the O ring seal inside the tranny out put, but if I can go with the truck style slip yoke in the drive shaft I can save the money. I looked on the output shaft out of the transfer case and there is no difference in any of the... May 16, 2011 · My question is does anyone know if it would be advisable to use the TH400 slip yoke for the conversion? I did notice the 4L80E yoke uses a larger universal joint. Can the 4L80E yoke be used as a slip yoke (same length as the TH400 yoke) by removing the bolt which holds it on the output shaft. The bolt on yoke can be unbolted, and a normal yoke slipped in it's place. Just beware the O ring sealing issue, if the slip yoke you have has a weep hole in it, but there's no O ring on the output shaft of the new trans, it will leak. The weep hole can be sealed easily. The NP241 has a fixed yoke (what you'll have after you replace the stock tail housing with a fixed yoke tail housing, aka a SYE). It doesn't have, nor does it need, a SYE because there's no slip yoke to eliminate.

Can anyone identify the source of the transmission slip yoke for a C4 - AOD swap in a 68 Mustang? Anyone know the Hollander interchange number for the correct yoke? Using an AOD from an 89 Mustang GT if that info is needed. It is hard to talk to the salvage yards when one does not know what... The yoke conversion is about $160.00 and takes into account for the O ring seal inside the tranny out put, but if I can go with the truck style slip yoke in the drive shaft I can save the money. I have several driveshafts that will work, and I would have the heavy U-joints.

Only a new carpet and one Seat cover. The previous owner Did Some work on the transmission. But I think he or the shop installed another drive shaft. The slip yoke is 3” out of the transmission. This is the polished part from the seal. Does anyone have the right driveshaft ( I guess it is the 45,6”) ? Or do you know the correct length?

I recently bought a 2007 FJ cruiser. It has 11K miles on it.....I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a slip yoke or drive shaft problem where it appears to stick and then when you are least expecting it (like sitting at a stop light) you get a bump - like someone bumped into your rear end or something. .
